New Yangkou-Lyusi Railway to steadily boost construction
The Nantong Transport Bureau recently held a debriefing on the pre-engineering of the new Yangkou-Lyusi Railway that when completed will run between Yangkou Port in Rudong county and Lyusi Port in Qidong county – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province.
The Yangkou-Lyusi Railway has a projected length of about 85 kilometers and an estimated investment of 9.9 billion yuan ($1.56 billion).
The railway will have seven stations, including two existing ones, to meet the transportation demand of key projects along the route.
The meeting aimed to provide a solid basis for the rapid and steady construction of the project.
According to the schedule, the section between Lyusi Station and Dongzao Port Station will be open by the end of 2022, while the entire line will be open by the end of 2023.
