The All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) released the list of China's top 500 private firms for 2021 in Changsha, capital of central China's Hunan province, on Sept 25. East China's Jiangsu province has 92 enterprises on the list, 14 of which are based in Nantong.

ZTT Group and Nantong Wu Jian Holding Group Co Ltd – both based in Rudong county in Nantong – ranked 123rd and 489th on the list, respectively.

ZTT Group was also included on the list of China's top 500 private manufacturing firms for 2021. Engaging in optical fiber communications since 1992, the group has 76 subsidiaries, more than 16,000 employees, and has established 54 overseas offices. Its products are sold in 160 countries and regions.

ZTT Group is involved primarily in information communication, smart power grids, marine equipment, new energy, new materials, and intelligent manufacturing. In 2020, its operating revenue reached 71.83 billion yuan ($11.11 billion).

Founded in 1958, Nantong Wu Jian Holding Group Co Ltd has many subsidiaries engaging in intelligent building design and construction, real estate development, hoisting equipment installation, and construction labor. It was once among China's top 500 private firms, China's top 100 competitive construction enterprises, Jiangsu's top 30 competitive construction enterprises, and a national advanced construction enterprise. In 2020, the operating revenue of Nantong Wu Jian exceeded 23.88 billion yuan.
