Yangkou Port upgrades recruitment links with local college

The Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone – located in Rudong county, administered by Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Jiangsu Shipping College on May 8, local media reported.
According to Chen Lei, deputy secretary of the Rudong Party committee, Yangkou Port is focusing on becoming an energy hub and an industrial port. It is in urgent need of personnel and especially lacks professional staff, technical people and skilled workers.
He expressed his hope that the stronger links with the college would bring new vitality to the local economy.
Shi Zhubin, principal of Jiangsu Shipping College, told the signing ceremony that the school will spared no effort in providing high-quality graduates to Yangkou Port.
After the ceremony, Shi along with the college's delegation, visited major projects at the port. These included Yangguang Island, the Tongkun polyester integration project site and the APP Rudong Industrial Base.
