Yangkou Port zone outlines major goals for 2021
The Jiangsu Rudong Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone -- located in Rudong county, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province released its major work plan for 2021 at a news conference held on Feb 24, the local media reported.
The Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone is a national-level open port zone that mainly handles energy imports and downstream petroleum products.
This year, the Yangkou zone will reportedly focus on attracting investment projects in petrochemicals, new materials, LNG and other leading industries to the zone.
It will also ensure that 10 industrial projects with investment of more than 1 billion yuan ($154.57 million) will begin construction this year, including one worth 10 billion yuan. Moreover, three service industry projects with investment of more than 500 million yuan each will also be launched in the current year.
Yangkou will also accelerate ongoing construction of major projects in the zone, including an LNG terminal project.
