Many backbone rivers in Rudong county flow directly into the Yangtze River. Industrial water supply problems in recent years have been solved through Yangkou Canal passing through Jiuyu Port in Nantong, Jiangsu province, and by diverting water from the Yangtze River. The water supply quantity can reach 900,000 tons per day. Dongling Reservoir, which is about 5 kilometers from Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone, has a total capacity of 26.63 million cubic meters, providing a powerful guarantee for adequate water supply for Yangkou Port in the future.
