The project was funded and constructed by Kaiquan (Nantong) Sewage Treatment Co Ltd. With investment of $17.2 million US and covering 5 hectares, the project mainly relates to industrial sewage in the development zone and the treatment of some domestic sewage. The total planned construction scale of the project is 100,000 cubic meters per day, the construction scale of the first phase is 50,000 cubic meters per day, and the first phase is implemented at 30,000 cubic meters per day.

At present, the first phase of the project has been put into operation.
