The construction of two major projects, the new materials base and the food supply chain base, in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) has been in full swing.

The project focused on developing new copper-based materials, supported by a 1 billion yuan ($144.76 million) investment from Zhongtian Alloy, a national-level recognized specialized and sophisticated "little giant" enterprise, is advancing rapidly.

The project has a planned annual production capacity of 63,000 metric tons. Upon reaching full production, it is expected to generate annual sales revenue of 5 billion yuan. By achieving breakthroughs in key technologies such as ultra-thin rolled copper foil, the project is projected to drive the development of high-end copper-based materials in China.

The Chahuoli supply chain Nantong base, with a total investment of 600 million yuan and covering an area of 50 mu (3.33 hectares), has broken ground and will promote the upgrading of the health food industry in NETDA.

Since the beginning of this year, all investment promotion units in NETDA have been intensifying their efforts. In March alone, over 20 key projects are slated for signing, with a total investment of 8.31 billion yuan.
