Students from SJTU and ECUST visit tech enterprises in NETDA

Updated: April 18, 2025 L M S

On April 16, nearly 30 students from ‌Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU)‌ and ‌East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST)‌ embarked on a journey to the industrial parks and tech enterprises of the ‌Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA). They experienced firsthand the dynamic growth of the area.

Most participants were majoring in fields that closely align with the talent needs of the companies in the area, such as materials science, chemical engineering, and fundamental chemistry.

The students visited various sites, including the ‌NETDA Planning Museum‌, ‌Zhongtian Cable‌ Technology Co, and the ‌Zhongtian Technology Innovation Center‌. Throughout the visit, they took photos while engaging in lively professional discussions with engineers, asking questions and sharing ideas.

During a talent recruitment session, international students learned about ‌Zhongtian's‌ global expansion efforts and actively connected with HR managers to discuss potential career opportunities.

Although it has only recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, NETDA has long regarded youth as a cornerstone of its development. Recent data indicates that the district has recruited ‌14,900 university graduates‌ in the past three years.
