NETDA has 17 products recognized as patent intensive
The Patent Protection Association Of China (PPAC) recently published a list of patent-intensive products for 2024, recognizing 17 products from 14 enterprises in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), ranking first citywide.
To promote the transformation of sci-tech achievements and activate the region's innovation vitality, NETDA has introduced a series of pivotal measures in recent years.
In 2023, under the leadership of NETDA's market supervision administration, Nantong Nengda Intellectual Property (IP) Operation Co — a patent operation firm serving the entire city from the area — was established. The company formed a 68-member multidisciplinary team to enhance professional services.
Over the past year, the team has actively engaged in industrial trend analysis, technology demand identification, patent valuation, technical maturity verification, and project roadshows, facilitating 45 patent transfers and 85 patent licenses.
In March 2024, NETDA reinforced its partnership with the Nantong IP Protection Center to advance the development of the Provincial (5G Communications) Industrial IP Operation Center.
In the future, NETDA will utilize its platform advantages to deliver comprehensive and enhanced IP services to various entities.
