Authorities in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), East China's Jiangsu province, held a series of activities to strengthen exchanges and integration among ethnic groups, on June 3.

Ethnic handicrafts such as silver jewelry, tie-dye cloth, clay figurines, and knitted items were sold during the event, while traditional ethnic sports events such as pitch-pot games, badminton, and pearl ball sports were also held.

In addition, exhibitions of children's paintings and an art performance were featured during the event.

As of 5 pm on June 4, more than 50,000 people attended the event, according to authorities.

The events are part of efforts by authorities to create a strong sense of community within the Chinese nation.

Authorities have also explored ways to provide jobs to ethnic minority groups living in the area and tried their best to integrate ethnic exchanges with social governance.
