Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, hosted the 2025 First Session of the "Chinese and African Envoys' Visit to Nantong" alongside the project launch ceremony of the Yuanchuan (Nantong) China-Africa Home Textile Production Capacity Model Park on Nov 4, injecting fresh momentum into home textile cooperation between the two regions.

The park is backed by a cumulative investment of 2 billion yuan ($280.60 million) and covers a planned area of 200 mu (13.33 hectares). It will incorporate resources from throughout the entire home textile industrial chain. It is engaged in the processing of raw materials, design, research, and development of products, intelligent manufacturing, branding, logistics, and warehousing.

Key projects from the park will also be promoted in Africa. Through coordinated development between the two countries, a whole-industry-chain system encompassing cotton planting, textile processing, and home textile manufacturing will be established, providing high-quality products and services to the global home textile market.

At full capacity, the project is expected to generate another 2 billion yuan in annual taxable sales and 20 billion yuan in e-commerce trade and attract over 10,000 industry professionals.

Additionally, the China-Africa (Nantong) Comprehensive Production Capacity and Service Center was unveiled, and agreements for several major projects were signed, including the China-Africa Maritime Transport Cooperation Project and the Africa Cotton Production Capacity Whole Industry Chain Cooperation Project.
