Nantong lures talents in Harbin

Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province hosted the "Nantong Day" talent development environment promotion conference at Harbin Engineering University in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, on April 14.
Nantong's advantageous geographical position, significant status of development, and distinctive cultural attributes were showcased.
A total of 35 leading companies, State-owned enterprises, and research institutions in Nantong conducted talent recruitment, offering 1,496 high-quality positions across sectors such as marine equipment manufacturing, new energy development, and submarine cable research. These opportunities come with competitive salaries and comprehensive career development paths, aiming to attract more young talents to consider Nantong as their destination.
Over the years, Harbin Engineering University has maintained strong connections and extensive collaborations with Nantong. In the last five years, 57 students from Nantong have been admitted to the university. Among HEU's 836 alumni in Nantong, 62 percent are engaged in shipbuilding and marine engineering.
The university has established deep partnerships with key Nantong enterprises like Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering. In October last year, Nantong and HEU jointly founded the Yangtze River Delta Higher Research Institute in Nantong, facilitating the swift integration of marine science and technology with industry through collaborative efforts between academia and government.
This year, Nantong inaugurated the first municipal-level ocean development bureau in Jiangsu, rallying the entire city to bolster the marine economy. Now more than ever, Nantong is in dire need of talented individuals and is well-equipped to support their success.
