NHIZ serves as cradle for tech, innovation
In recent years, the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (NHIZ), Jiangsu province, has continuously attracted and nurtured sci-tech projects, aiming to build itself into a significant hub for technological innovation and emerging industries.
Over the past three years, the zone has introduced 150 key projects, including one potential unicorn enterprise in China, eight potential unicorn enterprises in Jiangsu, and 51 Jiangsu gazelle enterprises.
Jiangsu Bangtec Environmental Sci-Tech Co, founded by Zhao Huiyu of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in NHIZ in 2017, is committed to providing integrated customized solutions with water treatment separation membranes and system operation as the technical core for industries such as photovoltaics, lithium batteries, and semiconductors.
Cao Xiaoqing, deputy general manager of Bangtec, stated that the company's growth to its current scale in just a few years has been inseparable from the coordination and assistance of local government departments at every step.
Another notable company in the high-tech sector is Haoh Information Technology, which has been selected as a gazelle enterprise for the second time in Jiangsu this year.
As a research and development pioneer in artificial intelligence, Haoh Information Technology has developed various products for multi-source perception in the sky, space, land, and objects, as well as cloud-edge collaborative intelligent products.
Li Xuejun, chairman of Haoh Information Technology, stated that the strong support from Tongzhou district and NHIZ has played a significant role in the growth and expansion of the company.
