Nantong enterprise achieves breakthroughs in special miniature bearings
Over the past 10 years, Nantong-based SK SEIKO, a leading enterprise in the domestic special miniature high-precision bearing industry in Jiangsu province, has developed long-life and low-noise special miniature bearings, breaking the long-term stronghold of Japanese companies in the local market.
SK SEIKO is the first in China to achieve large-scale production of high-end miniature bearings with an inner diameter of 3 millimeters.
"Currently, all 45 production lines in the workshop are operating at full capacity, and this year's sales are expected to exceed 100 million yuan ($14.04 million)," said Ji Xueyuan, general manager of the business division of Nantong Shankou Kinetic Energy Technology Co, a subsidiary at SK SEIKO, based in Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. He added that the company started construction in June 2021 and entered the trial production phase in June 2023.
"Our precision control over the roughness of the raceway surface of special miniature bearings can achieve ultra-quiet operation. Compared to the two-year lifespan of ordinary bearings, its lifespan can be extended to 15 years," Ji explained.
This product will be widely used in base stations, servers, charging piles for heat dissipation modules, smart home appliances, security and sensors, laser radar, vehicle motors, drones, medical equipment, power tools, and testing instruments.
