New quality productive forces | Nkoda makes innovations in automotive paint protection technology
Nkoda, located in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (NHIZ), has made significant strides in product innovation, research and development in recent years.
In 2022, the company developed a technology that integrates nano-ceramics with thermoplastic polyurethanes, or TPU, and in 2023, it launched a new paint protective film with the texture of real paint.
Li Pingyao, deputy general manager of Nkoda, said that the company's new product not only offers paint protection like traditional "invisible clothing" but also provides a variety of colors, making the vehicle look more fashionable and meeting the individual needs of car owners.
Established in 2017, Nkoda is a comprehensive manufacturer of automotive paint protection film, focusing on the research, production, sale, of high-end TPU films, as well as related services.
According to Li, the company's core technology and products have been granted multiple authorized patents and invention patents, and it has achieved the domestic production of high-function TPU paint protection film.
To date, the company has established cooperative relationships with numerous downstream customers worldwide, achieving significant year-on-year growth in revenue in 2023.
The company's goal is to establish the world's largest automotive paint protection film production base, according to Li.
The TPU paint protection film, also known as invisible clothing for cars, boasts exceptional toughness. Once applied to a vehicle, it provides long-lasting protection to paint while also possessing self-cleaning and self-healing capabilities.
