Chuanjiang town emerges as dominant force in home textile industry
Chuanjiang town, situated within Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, recorded home textile industry sales that surpassed 120 billion yuan ($16.76 billion) in 2023.
Renowned as the world's largest home textile production base and the nation's foremost home textile industrial cluster, the town is currently home to over 15 industrial parks and more than 15,000 home textile enterprises, forming a comprehensive industry chain.
The rapid growth of the home textile industry in Chuanjiang is a testament to its continuous efforts in fostering industrial innovation. In recent years, the town has developed a core market, digital printing industrial park, livestreaming e-commerce park, and smart logistics park for the home textile industry.
These infrastructural advancements have integrated the digital economy with the home textile industry and paved the way for talent in design, live sales, and intelligent digital transformation.
To further bolster its industrial appeal, Chuanjiang has actively engaged in investment promotion activities. It organized more than 10 investment events and hosted four home textile industry promotional conferences in just last year alone.
These efforts led to the signing of two projects valued at between 1 to 5 billion yuan, as well as two foreign-funded projects each exceeding $30 million. Additionally, six new projects related to home textile were registered, including a 3-billion-yuan investment backed by Mercury Home Textiles for its headquarters and research and development design production base.
Since last year, Chuanjiang has initiated the construction of two municipal-level projects valued at 500 million yuan each and five district-level projects each worth over 100 million yuan.
