Innovation brings success to Nantong printing equipment firm

Jiangsu Huayu Printing and Coating Equipment Co Ltd, located in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Tongzhou district – administered by the city of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – is a dynamic company with established international and domestic markets that is rapidly expanding its output
Specializing in the research, design, production and marketing of equipment related to the printing, coating, drying of metal sheets, waste gas treatment and heat recovery, Huayu has now assumed an 80 percent share of its domestic market.
Focusing on scientific and technological innovation over the years, Huayu is selling its products to more than 50 countries and regions around the world.
"With prices half that of foreign products, our products have a high cost performance and are not inferior to foreign ones at all," said Shen Binyi, president of Huayu.
"Moreover, we have always advocated upgrades of products which are more intelligent and automatic, which can not only improve production capacity but also save a lot of labor, so they are very popular with domestic and foreign customers."
Huayu's long-term emphasis on independent research and development is reportedly helping to break a foreign monopoly in the sector and fill a domestic technology gap. In addition to developing a technological innovation platform, the company is also undertaking technological re-innovation based on the most advanced printing and coating equipment in the world.
Each year, Huayu prioritizes R&D, spending five percent of its revenue.
Due to soaring orders, the company resumed production on the fourth day of the first lunar month this year. Maintaining full output, it has currently stopped receiving new orders.
"We are racing against the clock to catch up with orders, to better satisfy the market's demand while guaranteeing quality at the same time," Shen added.
