Work starts on Nantong environmental protection project
Work started on March 3 on a major 500-million-yuan ($76.6 million) environmental protection project in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – being funded by Jiangsu Bangtec Environmental Sci-Tech Co Ltd.
Plans are for the new plant to achieve annual production of 300,000 sets of water treatment equipment and accessories.
Founded in 2017 by Zhao Huiyu, a doctor included in Jiangsu province's innovation and entrepreneurship talent plan, Jiangsu Bangtec Environmental is a high-tech company focusing on the technical development, promotion and application of water treatment membranes – such as reverse osmosis membranes and nanofiltration membranes.
The group also provides professional water treatment solutions for customers.
After four years of development, the company has achieved considerable progress in building a team of top staff, quantities of orders and positive evaluations of its products at home and abroad.
Out of the total investment topping 500 million yuan, 200 million yuan will be invested in the first phase of the project, which is expected to be completed and start production by the end of August, with expected annual sales of more than 400 million yuan. The annual sales volume of the whole project will reach 1-1.2 billion yuan after completion.
Zhao said that the company will continuously lay more emphasis on R&D as well as technological innovation in the future. This will keep its core competitiveness, as it strives to make more contributions to the economic and social development of the zone.
Ye Hui, deputy director of Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone administrative committee, said zone departments will actively support the development of the project and provide high-quality and efficient services to ensure its smooth progress.
