Nantong High-tech Zone hits new high in national ranking

The Torch High Technology Industry Development Center, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, released the evaluation results of China's national high-tech zones of 2020 on Feb 3.
Among all the 169 national high-tech zones, the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone ranked 44th in terms of comprehensive strength, seven places higher than in 2019 and a new record.
Facing the difficulties and challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and the complicated international situation in 2020, the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone took multiple measures to stabilize its economic growth, improve development quality, activate vitality and optimize its business environment.
Oriented to developing high technology and realizing industrialization, the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone takes scientific and technological innovation as the core to enhancing its independent innovation capability.
The zone also lays emphasis on upgrading itself as a demonstration area for innovation-driven and high-quality development to become a modern industrial cluster consisting of the leading industry of auto parts and the new-generation emerging industry of information technology.
