Established in 2010, Nantong Offshore Design and Research Institute is a national high-tech enterprise. The institute focuses on the offshore engineering industry, adheres to the concepts of "innovative, coordinative, green, open and shared", which are expected to become the drivers for intelligent manufacturing, improved equipment standards and stronger industrial regulation.
The institute, based in Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, has won a string of honorary titles, such as provincial small and medium-size enterprise in science and technology, provincial private enterprise in science and technology, provincial top 10 innovative enterprises, and Jiangsu industrial design center. In 2017, it won an ISO9001 certification and operated as the secretary-general unit of marine engineering equipment and high-tech vessels industry intellectual property alliance.
The institute's team has rich experience in vessel research and development (R&D), design and manufacturing. It employs advanced 3D design software to handle its production design, engineering procurement construction, ballast water refitting and desulfurizing towers. It has a complete service system for vessel consultations, R&D, design and refitting.
The institute has more than 300 employees, and in the future, it will make full use of Nantong government's favorable policies and advantages in talent and technology, in a bid to build itself into a renowned open R&D platform both at home and abroad.
