Nantong holds recruitment fair to ease local companies' staff shortages

Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone held a recruitment fair through phone calls on Feb 25, in a bid to ease local companies' employees shortages due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

It was the industrial development zone's first recruitment fair after the Spring Festival. Before it opened, the industrial development zone's economic development bureau cooperated with Jinxing subdistrict to collect local companies' employment need and job seekers' application information to create a registration form.

More than 600 positions were provided by 20 local enterprises, including Hongbang Die Casting (Nantong), Kyokuto Automotive Components (Nantong) and Aptiv Connector System (Nantong). The average monthly salary of these positions ranged from 5,000 yuan ($722) to 6,000 yuan. Monthly salaries for some technological positions can reach 10,000 yuan.

Employing units reached preliminary agreements with 108 job seekers through phone calls according to the registration form which was prepared by the industrial development zone's economic development bureau and Jinxing subdistrict. The industrial development zone will help employing units and job seekers to connect easily in a bid to guarantee a high success rate.
