The 2021 Zhang Jian Cup China International Home Textile Product Design Competition was launched on March 17 – at the China International Trade Fair for Home Textiles and Accessories-Spring Edition –by Jiangsu Nantong International Home Textile Industrial Park, in East China's Shanghai city.
Inaugurated in 2006, the competition focuses on enterprises and designers in the home textiles sector, aiming to improve the level of design in China.
To date, the annual competition has been held 15 consecutive times and become a window for promoting home textiles brands and culture, as well as a platform for designers to exchange ideas. It is said to be one of the most authoritative, professional and influential home textiles product design competitions in the country.
Nantong's "one city, three areas" strategic spatial layout takes the Nantong Central Innovation Zone as the center and focuses on the development of the old urban area, the airport-home textiles area and the development zone area.
As an important part of that, Nantong international home textiles park reportedly continuously enhances the core competitiveness of its R&D and design work, to extend its push to become a leading innovative and creative design center in the world.
