E-commerce industry helps villagers in Dearshiqiao increase incomes
Thriving businesses are a key part of rural revitalization. Dieshi village, in the western part of Haimen Dearshiqiao International Home Textiles Industrial Zone, is where the Dearshiqiao home textile market is based.
Relying on its unique location, the village Party branch has guided and supported the villagers to vigorously develop e-commerce and logistics industries in recent years.
Many home textile online sellers have gathered in the village, with more than 2,000 online stores. A total of 21 logistics and express companies have set up collection points in and around the village.
The village's e-commerce sales reached 700 million yuan ($102 million) in 2019.
While helping e-commerce practitioners to broaden the market and bringing home textile products to the country and the world, Dieshi village Party branch also helps practitioners master e-commerce and better develop related industries through lectures and training sessions.
In recent years, not only have many local college students returned to their hometowns to engage in e-commerce after graduation, but many young people from other regions have also come to Dieshi to start their own businesses, injecting fresh vitality into rural revitalization in the area.
