Haimen Dearshiqiao Home Textile Industrial Park reported a turnover of 10.26 billion yuan ($1.45 billion) in March, rebounding from 1.12 billion yuan in February, according to Wang Fan, director of the park's administration.

In the first quarter of this year, the park's general public budget revenue increased 7.1 percent year on year to 107 million yuan. Its taxable sales revenue was valued at 2.39 billion yuan, up 9.3 percent year on year.

The park is a provincial level development zone and is home to one of the world's largest home textile markets. A huge home textile industrial cluster has formed in the park, with a comprehensive industrial chain, advanced public services and complete supporting facilities.

During the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, the local administration has provided preferential policies, financial support and targeted services to help businesses resume operations and ensure stable market development.

To relieve the capital shortage facing local companies, the park has introduced six banks to offer financing solutions to companies experiencing difficulties. It also issued a series of subsidies in advance to help companies.

So far, a total of 92 companies have received 4.88 million yuan in subsidies. About 30 million yuan in rents were waived over the past two months.

Thanks to the improvement of customs efficiency, the foreign trade in the park has maintained stable growth from January to March.

Statistics showed that the park's import and export volume was valued at 1.28 billion yuan in the first three months of this year, up 30.8 percent. Exports were valued at 1.27 billion yuan.

The growth was also partly the result of online promotions. The park has been working to develop online business platforms since before the outbreak.

The China Dearshiqiao Home Textile app, Dearshiqiao Home Textile WeChat account and the park's official website were designed to offer comprehensive business information for overseas buyers.

So far, 367 overseas businesspeople have registered on the app, while the WeChat account has nearly 6,000 followers.
