CIMC Safeway Technologies Co Ltd, located in the Gangzha Economic Development Zone in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has upgraded its production lines and processes to increase productivity this year, local media reported.

As one of the first suppliers of tank containers in China, CIMC specializes in producing equipment for chemical physical distribution.

The company's sales of the tank container, which is its main product, have ranked No 1 since 2004 with a market share of over 60 percent.

Since last November, the company has upgraded its production workshops and increased its production efficiency by 10 percent.

In addition, CIMC is taking concrete efforts to build intelligent factories that will help it reduce labor intensity and improve product quality and operational efficiency, said Ji Guoxiang, general manager of CIMC.
