Chongchuan strengthens its attractiveness to high-caliber talents
Chongchuan district of Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province has been focusing on luring new talents to bolster its high-quality development.
By the end of 2021, enterprises set up by high-end talents in the district had generated taxable turnovers of 6.5 billion yuan ($932.14 million) and raised 2.85 billion yuan in capital.
Chongchuan has to date created 65 provincial facilities for innovation and entrepreneurship. Among them, 16 are at the national level.
In addition, authorities have been providing financial support for high-level talents. The district has also established Nantong's first venture capital fund to support entrepreneurial projects.
To date, Chongchuan has brought in 30 projects initiated by high-caliber talents through various competitions.
In 2021, Chongchuan provided more than 800 apartments for talents and handed out rent allowances totaling more than 4 million yuan. The district also unveiled preferential education policies for the children of high-end talents.
Due to the aforementioned efforts, four enterprises in the district made the list of the fourth batch of national "little giant" companies. As of the end of 2021, Chongchuan had five national "little giant" companies and 10 provincial ones.
