Situated in Lujinggang village, Green Valley City covers more than 30 hectares and it's a centuries-old garden, regarded as being Nantong's "lungs" because of its pristine environment and ecological system.
In response to the municipal government's call for further boosting the development of the nighttime economy and stimulating people's spending, the Green Valley City scenic spot laid emphasis on shopping, dining and general amusement and put on a bunch of special and fun activities.
"It's enjoyable to take a fresh breath in the scenic spot and eat popular food in the summer breeze," said a Ms Liu, who went there with her best friends to enjoy a wonderful night out.
"Hurt by the epidemic, it was difficult to do business previously. Now, my business is gradually recovering with the improved situation," said a merchant who set up a stall at the site.
"I've sold many drinks within a short time since I came here today."
In addition to all the fun, Nantong's local bands performed at the scenic spot, which brought the night to a climax. There was also a parent-child area, enabling parents and children to watch dramas together, as well as a sports area for those wanting a bit more physical action.
