Nantong Xingdong International Airport
Nantong Xingdong International Airport is about 15 minutes' drive from the Nantong Gangzha Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu province.
Entrances for the Shanghai-Xi'an Highway and Shenyang-Haikou Highway, which connect Suzhou-Nantong Yangtze River Bridge and Chongqi Bridge, are 3.5 kilometers southwest of the airport.
Owing to well-developed ground transport facilities in Nantong, traffic to the airport flows smoothly. The airport is defined by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) as a "Shanghai international aviation hub auxiliary airport".
While its international and domestic passenger and cargo businesses are in full swing, the airport is accelerating its development of the aviation industry. Projects for regional distribution centers of SF Express, CAMECO, and Apex Air Co Ltd have been completed, and more than 10 navigation organizations and enterprises, such as the oriental base of the Flight Inspection Center of the CAAC and Shanghai YTO Express (Logistics) Co Ltd, have settled there. Construction has begun on a new terminal building and ancillary facilities covering 52,000 square meters. The main building will be equipped with 11 air bridges, allowing throughput of 5 million person-trips and 200,000 tons of cargo. Hotels and other infrastructure will also be available.
