Chongchuan to host dragon boat race to celebrate festival
The King's Lucky - Guoyuan Cup 2024 Yangtze River Delta region Haohe River Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament will take place in Chongchuan district, Nantong, Jiangsu province on June 10.
The event will feature a total of 16 teams consisting of 400 people. There will be 12 men's teams with 22 members each and 4 women's teams with 12 members each.
Teams from other provinces and cities such as Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Anhui will be present, along with two international teams comprising members from countries like South Africa, Tanzania, Russia, and Poland.
The competition will include a 5-kilometer chase race around the Haohe River in the morning and a 500-meter straight sprint race in the afternoon. An estimated 50,000 to 60,000 spectators are expected to attend the event.
In addition to the dragon boat races, performances and drone shows will also be held onsite.
