A multi-functional super charging station located in the Guanyinshan Technology Entrepreneurship Park in Chongchuan district in Nantong, Jiangsu province has recently been launched.

This is Nantong's first charging station to integrate photovoltaic power generation, charging, energy storage and safety inspection. The construction of the station not only benefits owners of new energy vehicles but also serves as a practical implementation of China's dual-carbon strategy.

The charging station features 14 direct current fast chargers, 10 alternative current slow chargers, two high-power liquid-cooled ultra-fast chargers, and four vehicle-to-grid charging and discharging piles. Each type of charging pile is labeled with instructions, and the charging area is equipped with specialized charging operation guides.

The liquid-cooled ultra-fast charger provides extremely fast charging speeds, suitable for all vehicles that support DC charging, with a maximum support of charging for five minutes and a range extension of over 300 kilometers.

The photovoltaic panels can convert solar energy into electricity, prioritizing supply to the charging piles. When there is insufficient solar energy, it will automatically switch to the park's national grid supply. If the energy generated by the photovoltaic panels is not fully consumed, it can be stored in an adjacent energy storage cabinet for use when there is insufficient sunlight.

The charging fee is based on the park's basic electricity rate plus a service fee, totaling around 1 yuan ($0.14) per kilowatt hour.

The charging station has already served 4,300 new energy vehicles.
