More than 20 representatives of universities and institutions from 11 Central and Eastern European countries including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Bulgaria visited the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone in Nantong, Jiangsu province on Oct 21.
Their tour included visits to Tongfu Microelectronics Co Ltd, the Nantong Zhongguancun Information Valley, and the campus and research facilities of Nantong University.
Tongfu Microelectronics Co Ltd is a leading enterprise in the integrated circuit industry. Stoyan Mishev, an associate professor in the field of new generation information technology at New Bulgarian University, was full of praise for the innovative technologies at Tongfu Microelectronics.
"Our specialty in Bulgaria is electronic products, and seeing the achievements in this field in Nantong, I'm deeply impressed by China's solid technological foundation in this area. I hope we can collaborate in this regard in the future," Mishev said.
In recent years, CCEDZ has emphasized independent innovation and open cooperation, strengthening partnerships in joint research, technology transfer, and exchanges in science and the humanities with international counterparts. Several international collaborative projects have achieved both economic and social benefits.
