Chongchuan: A hot bed for innovation
Authorities in the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, have in recent years been making efforts to create a conducive environment for enterprises to pursue innovation.
For example, authorities have established a task force to deal with various concerns of the zone's innovative enterprises.
Nantong Shining Automation Technology Co Ltd, which specializes in the research, development and manufacture of new-energy battery coating machines and intelligent robotics, is one of the beneficiaries of the policies.
Founded in 2021, Shining has developed a 10-million-yuan ($1.42 million) high-speed coating machine that is highly valued by famous NEV battery manufacturers such as BYD.
Shining now has an annual manufacturing capacity of 100 coating machines, automatic filling machines and cutting and stacking machines due to support from the zone's preferential policies.
As of the end of this September, the sales revenues of Shining had exceeded 20 million yuan, and it is expected to generate sales revenues of 250 million yuan by the end of 2022.
The company has been added to the list of enterprises above designated size, according to authorities.
