Chongchuan Economic Development Zone (CCEDZ), founded in 1993, is a provincial development zone in the Chongchuan district of Nantong, Jiangsu province.
With 38.05 square kilometers of planning management area, it is a typical urban and port development zone that is divided into eastern and southern zones.
CCEDZ's eastern zone covers 33.83 square kilometers in the east of Chongchuan district and is four km from the city center. Its key industries are advanced manufacturing and modern services.
The southern zone is north of the old downtown area of Nantong, and it focuses on modern manufacturing service businesses, including service outsourcing, e-commerce, modern logistics and technological finance.
CCEDZ is superior in transport links, with Nantong Port having navigation lines to more than 300 ports in 100 countries and regions in the world. The Sutong, Chongqi and Chonghai bridges helped it become a transport hub connecting to Shanghai, Suzhou in Jiangsu province, and Hangzhou in Zhejiang province. And it is 10 km from both Nantong Railway Station and Nantong Xingdong International Airport.
So far, nearly 1,000 enterprises and companies have settled in CCEDZ, bringing investment of over 60 billion yuan ($8.48 billion) with foreign investment exceeding $5 billion.
CCEDZ provides complete infrastructure for enterprises in supplies of power, water, gas and steam, as well as sewage treatment plants. It is one of the key electricity and new energy bases in China.
Nantong Customs has also set up branch office in CCEDZ to offer straight-through one-stop services for enterprises and investors.
CCEDZ has been awarded many honors of which four are at national levels, 12 at provincial level and five at municipal level, including national high-tech innovation service center, national e-commerce innovation demonstration base, China home textile e-commerce service center, Jiangsu small enterprises entrepreneurship demonstration base, Jiangsu science and technology innovation park and Jiangsu international service outsourcing demonstration zone.
About Chongchuan district
