The supporting terminal for the Blue Ocean New Materials polyolefin plant in Tongzhou Bay has passed completion acceptance and obtained a port operation permit.

This signifies the completion of the terminal's construction phase and confirms that it has obtained the required operating qualifications and officially entered the trial operations phase.

Located in the southern section of the western side of Basin 1 in the Tongzhou Bay Port Area of Nantong Port, the terminal features one 50,000-deadweight-metric-ton berth for liquid bulk. The berth is 300 meters long and has a designed annual handling capacity of 2.3 million tons.

During the initial phase of operations, the terminal will be capable of handling 400,000 tons of ethylene annually. In the longer term, it will also accommodate liquefied hydrocarbons such as ethane, propane and butane.

Construction of the project began in September 2025 and was completed in this September. An on-site inspection for completion acceptance was also conducted that month.

Following the approval of its application, the terminal is authorized to provide vessel berthing facilities and cargo loading and unloading services within the port area.
