Nantong Hyosung Transformer, a company based in Hai'an, completed the assembly of an extra high voltage (EHV) transformer at its intelligent factory on Aug 12, which will be delivered to Saudi Arabia by the end of this month.

Given the scorching climate of Saudi Arabia, the EHV transformers must comply with stringent standards for heat dissipation, corrosion resistance and thermal endurance. So the company has designed the transformer to maintain a low operating temperature for long-term stability.

Construction of this smart factory, specially designed for EHV transformers, began in November 2025, and trial production started at the end of July this year.

Once the new facility goes into full operation, it will primarily focus on orders from overseas clients in West Asia, North America and South America, as well as domestic orders, with over 98 percent of its products destined for export.

Meanwhile, the company's annual EHV transformer production capacity is expected to rise from 150 to approximately 250 units, while the delivery cycle will be shortened from the previous 10 to 14 months to 8 to 10 months.
