Scania marked a new milestone in its China strategy on July 14 with the opening of its China Customer Delivery Center in Rugao, Jiangsu province, alongside the Chinese debut of its flagship V8 660S heavy-duty truck.

The new delivery center is operated by Viking Logistics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Scania Sales China. Designed as a comprehensive vehicle delivery hub, the facility integrates vehicle storage, preparation, pre-delivery inspection, quality testing, logistics distribution and final handover to customers, improving delivery efficiency and enhancing the customer experience.

Beyond logistics, the center will also serve as a key platform for Scania's localized vehicle customization capabilities. Customers will be able to choose from a wider range of tailored options, including personalized exterior styling, configurations, specialized functions and industry-specific solutions.

"The delivery center inaugurated today is not only a major enhancement of our logistics and delivery capabilities, but also an important step in advancing Scania's long-term strategy in China," said David Kallsater, managing director of Scania Sales China.

Scania V8 660S, as the brand's flagship model, combines powerful performance, improved fuel efficiency, driver comfort and exclusive design, offering premium transport operators a new high-end option while further enriching China's heavy-duty truck market.
