Rugao's traditional puppet art wowed audiences at the 2026 Dragon Boat Festival Cultural Celebration in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The troupe also organized performances with the Sri Lankan branch of China MCC20 Group, bringing a touch of home to workers involved in the Central Expressway Project (CEP).

Through intricate puppetry techniques and vivid storytelling, the performers not only entertained frontline builders but also helped foster cultural exchange between China and Sri Lanka.
