An exciting water spectacle of speed and passion unfolded on the scenic Haohe River in Nantong on May 30, where nearly 240 racers paddled at full speed along a 300-meter straight course during the fourth International Dragon Boat Friendship Race.

The event was organized by COSCO Shipping Shipyard (Nantong) and COSCO Shipping Offshore (Qidong). Client representatives from over 10 countries and regions — including the United States, Germany, Denmark, Singapore, and Japan — joined company employees to form 14 dragon boat teams.

The atmosphere on shore was equally buzzing with a lively folk culture experience area.

Traditional activities such as touhu (arrow throwing), sachet making, and lacquer fan painting allowed participants and spectators from home and abroad to immerse themselves in the charm of traditional Chinese culture between races.

The event ended with a poetic touch, as guests and clients enjoyed a mesmerizing night cruise on the Haohe River. Boats glided across the shimmering water that reflected the pavilions and towers along the riverbank.
