The world's first 24,000-twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU)-class methanol dual-fuel container ship, built by COSCO KHI Ship Engineering for Orient Overseas Container Line, was completed in Chongchuan district, Nantong, on May 8. 

As the world's largest ship of this kind, it has an overall length of 399.99 meters, a beam of 61.3 meters, and a depth of 33.2 meters. It has a maximum container capacity of 24,168 TEUs and a deadweight tonnage of 225,000 metric tons. 

It is equipped with the world's largest methanol dual-fuel power system, allowing for flexible switching between methanol and traditional fuel modes. When using green methanol, a single vessel can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 150,000 tons per year.
