As the 2026 Jiangsu Football City League, commonly known as Suchao, is set to kick off soon, Nantong Huayu Embroidery and Textile in Sanxing town, Haimen district, Nantong, is launching a new range of Suchao-themed creations featuring traditional homespun cloth.

Unlike last year's popular soccer bags, this year's lineup includes three main series: health hammers, spacious homespun cloth bags and convenient portable soccer pocket bags, totaling nearly 10 new products. Each item integrates the artistry of traditional homespun cloth craftsmanship with soccer themes, while also celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Nantong.

For instance, the new soccer pocket bag features both flat and three-dimensional designs, making it lightweight and convenient for fans to carry to matches. "The fabric uses the classic pattern inspired by homespun cloth, with green representing the soccer field and blue symbolizing Jianghai Culture," said Zheng Wen, owner of Huayu Embroidery and Textile.

Although these new products are not yet officially on the market, they have already caught the attention of many fans and cultural enthusiasts. "Homespun cloth is an ancient craft from Sanxing town, and soccer is a beloved sport. By combining these elements, we aim to keep the old craft fresh and infuse the event with cultural flavor," Zheng said. "We also hope that through these products, more people will come to learn about and appreciate homespun cloth."

She also revealed that this year, the company is focusing on iconic elements from various cities in Jiangsu, such as Suzhou's hairy crabs and Wuxi's xiaolongbao (steamed buns), to design exquisite cultural pendants, creating exclusive cultural souvenirs for Suchao.
