Rudong achieves 11.24b yuan of foreign trade in Jan-Feb period
Rudong Customs revealed that Rudong county in Nantong city, Jiangsu province, achieved an import and export value of 11.24 billion yuan ($1.63 billion) in the first two months of this year, an increase of 2.5 percentage points compared to the same period in 2025.
Among them, exports totaled 3.63 billion yuan, up 8.8 percent, and imports totaled 7.61 billion yuan, ranking first in the city.

General trade accounts for a relatively high proportion. In the first two months, the county's general trade value reached 10.75 billion yuan, up 3.4 percent, accounting for 95.6 percent of total trade value.
The county also sees a more diversified market layout. During the period, Rudong's imports and exports to countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative totaled 7.79 billion yuan, up 7.5 percent year-on-year. Among them, trade with ASEAN countries is impressive, with import and export value totaling 1.45 billion yuan, up 90 percent.
During the same period, Rudong's imports and exports to Africa increased by 89.8 percent, showing vast market potential.
The import of xylene and the export of electromechanical and textile yarns have demonstrated notable expansion.
