Heavy trucks carrying marine lubricants have been rolling out of the bonded logistics center at Rugao Port, facilitating the supply of oil products to both inland and coastal ports across Jiangsu to support the efficient operation of oceangoing vessels.
The marine lubricant supply project, which has been based at the logistics center for eight years, has evolved into a dominant force in the industry. It now distributes products from eight major international brands and covers around 650 categories of marine lubricant products.
Its service network has continued to expand and currently serves all 17 water transport ports in Jiangsu, 20 newly developed shipyards and more than 100 cooperating terminals.
In 2025, the project supplied lubricants to 2,100 oceangoing vessels and 1,200 newly built ships, totaling 46,700 metric tons — up 7 percent year on year. It accounted for 91.3 percent of Jiangsu's market share and is the country's largest bonded marine lubricant supply project by volume.
Xu Ningdong, head of the project, said a series of regulatory innovations introduced by local customs authorities had provided strong support for the project's growth.
"The measures launched by Rugao Customs have greatly improved efficiency, giving the company strong momentum for continued development," Xu said.
