The sixth edition of the "Mlily Pressure-Relieving Mattress" Cup World Go Open Tournament has launched, with international preliminaries scheduled from May 8 to 12 in Rugao.

Forty-two players selected through international qualifiers, six players chosen independently from Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia, and 16 seeded players will compete in the main tournament. The champion will receive 1.8 million yuan ($261,520), while the runner-up will be awarded 600,000 yuan.

This year's competition is open to all amateur players ranked 7-dan or above. A new veteran group has been added for professional players born on or before Dec 31, 1981, and two additional spots have been allocated for the Southeast Asia region.

Mlily, based in Dingyan town, Rugao, specializes in memory foam home products for global markets. Its products are sold in over 110 countries and regions, with more than 10,000 retail terminals worldwide.

Since 2013, Mlily has been the designated stress-relief product supplier for the Chinese National Go Team. It founded the first "Mlily Pressure-Relieving Mattress" Cup World Go Open Tournament.

The tournament continues to combine the company's international presence with support for professional and amateur Go talent, further promoting the global development of the game.
