The 2026 season marks Codion's fifth year in the China League Two, the third tier of the Chinese soccer pyramid, administered by the Chinese Football Association. The club will debut its first match at the newly inaugurated stadium on March 21. 

The China League Two serves as an essential platform for player development and talent identification, feeding into the higher echelons of the sport, the Chinese Super League and China League One. 

This season, China League Two comprises 24 teams competing in a preliminary stage consisting of 22 rounds of matches.
