Scania's Rugao production base has reached a milestone with the rollout and delivery of the first batch of locally manufactured Super trucks. The company's sales and service teams have already begun the handover process to ensure customers can benefit from Scania's full life-cycle after-sales support.
The Super trucks produced in Rugao follow Scania's unified global production standards, offering Chinese customers the same high-level product quality available in international markets. Local manufacturing has also enabled Scania to optimize its supply chain and delivery processes, significantly shortening the time from order placement to vehicle handover and helping customers put their fleets into operation more quickly.
David Kallsater, managing director of Scania Sales China, said the company recognizes the urgent need for efficient logistics and the critical importance of time in customers' operations. "One of the advantages of local production is the ability to respond faster and deliver vehicles to customers more quickly," he noted.
Scania Sales China plans to further expand its localized product portfolio and strengthen supply assurance and customer responsiveness, leveraging the Rugao production base to provide more efficient and reliable transport solutions for the Chinese market.
