The exhibition of outstanding works by contemporary Chinese female artists has recently opened at the Nantong University Art Museum in Nantong, Jiangsu province, heralding the start of the 2025 Nantong Art themed series of events.

This exhibition features a wide-ranging collection of paintings, sculptures, and installations by 288 influential artists.

The exhibition, organized into five chapters, explores the complex identities of women in society. "Dedication and Contribution" honors exceptional women like Tu Youyou and pioneers in aerospace. "Praise for Labor" highlights women's dedication and their role in creating value across different industries. "Celebrating Beauty" captures the vibrant and diverse lives and aesthetic pursuits of modern women through landscapes and seasonal scenes. "Ode to Life" employs color and lines to celebrate the enduring themes of nature and existence. "Harmony and Coexistence" reflects the artists' heartfelt emotions and a strong call for world peace and the coexistence of all living beings.

Throughout the exhibition, participating artists shared their artistic journeys and engaged in discussions about the modern expression and purpose of female art.

The 2025 Nantong Art themed series of events will continue until January 2026. During this period, various activities are planned, including invitational exhibitions of Chinese ink paintings and flower-and-bird paintings, an art exchange event, a symposium on folk painting, and more.
