The Russian State Radio Symphony Orchestra's 2026 New Year concert will be performed on Dec 25 at the Gengsu Theater in Nantong, Jiangsu province, promising to deliver a cultural experience that combines both ceremonial and artistic elements.

The concert will feature a blend of Chinese classics such as Spring Festival Overture and My Motherland, alongside renowned international works such as Tchaikovsky's selections from Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, Johann Strauss II's The Blue Danube Waltz, Soviet classics like Moscow Nights, as well as operatic masterpieces including Giuseppe Verdi's Libiamo ne'lieti calici and Georges Bizet's Carmen Overture.

With this varied repertoire, the orchestra seeks to create an atmosphere that feels sacred, pure, romantic, and elegant, inviting the audience to enjoy the beauty of the New Year and immerse themselves in harmonious blessings.

The Russian State Radio Symphony Orchestra, one of Russia's leading national symphony orchestras, has an impressive history spanning 80 years. It is now directed by the esteemed Russian artist and renowned composer Aleksandr Klevitskii, who serves as both the artistic director and chief conductor.
