Haimen High-Tech Zone signed a cooperation agreement with the Traditional Chinese Medicine R&D Center of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) on Oct 24. 

The biopharmaceutical industry is a strategic emerging industry prioritized for development in Haimen. Over the past decade, the city has established a comprehensive industrial chain that includes drug intermediates, active pharmaceutical ingredients, high-end formulations, and medical devices. 

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is a world-renowned research university that has made significant achievements in the fields of biological sciences and biotechnology. 

Both parties will engage in resource sharing and collaborative innovation, jointly working on key technological challenges, transforming scientific and technological achievements into real-world applications, cultivating high-end talent, and promoting international exchange and cooperation.
