The Global Leaders' Meeting on Women took place in Beijing from Oct 13 to 14. Zhou Zhanxian, the fourth-generation inheritor of Shen embroidery and head of Jiangsu Kaili Embroidery Co, attended as Nantong's exclusive invited delegate, presenting her Shen embroidery work Mountain Journey in Autumn. 

Mountain Journey in Autumn is an exquisite art piece that Zhou Zhanxian spent two years creating. It features double-sided embroidery to seamlessly blend mountains, pine forests, and clouds, maintaining traditional stitching charm while adding modern feminine touches. The piece has received high praise from attendees. 

In her presentation, Zhou Zhanxian said that the towering pine trees symbolize the resilient spirit of women, while the dynamic essence of the landscape reflects wisdom in overcoming challenges. She emphasized her commitment to using embroidery as a way to unite women's strength and support the development of women and children's causes. 

In recent years, Haimen has revitalized its intangible cultural heritage (ICH) through various efforts such as creating ICH workshops, hosting thematic exhibitions, launching educational programs, and developing heritage-themed tourism routes. These efforts aim to integrate traditional culture into daily life and attract international audiences.
