Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province recently launched chrysanthemum-admiring events at Wenfeng Park, Zilang Flower Valley, and Tangzha Beishi Scenic Area.

In 1982, Nantong officially adopted the chrysanthemum as its city flower. For more than 40 years, the city has been committed to preserving chrysanthemum culture and promoting chrysanthemum art. The annual chrysanthemum exhibition has grown to become a key cultural symbol of the city.

Wenfeng Park features more than 21,000 pots of chrysanthemums across over 200 varieties. Zilang Flower Valley presents 12,000 pots and includes more than 10 spots for photography. Tangzha Beishi Scenic Area showcases over 100 types of chrysanthemums, along with handicrafts and cultural products, enabling visitors to enjoy the autumn scenery while soaking in the atmosphere of Tangzha Ancient Town.

Between Oct 24 and 26, Zilang Flower Valley hosted a creative market, which gathered cultural and artistic products, allowing visitors to enjoy the craftsmanship and traditional culture. Another market is scheduled from Oct 31 to Nov 2.

Chrysanthemums are also arranged along the main roads and in the parks and green spaces across Nantong's central urban area. Their presence spreads a festive autumn feel throughout the city, evoking an image of a city bathed in golden splendor.
